Boys Firsts & Girls Seconds

Scotch Oakburn College won the Boys Firsts Tennis and the Girls Seconds Tennis in the SATIS Finals on Friday afternoon, 7 April, at Scotch Oakburn Park, to become State Premiers.

The Scotch Oakburn Senior Boys Firsts defeated Hutchins 6 rubbers-0, 12 sets-0, and the Senior Girls Tennis Seconds also won convincing over The Friends School 6-0 rubbers, 12sets-0.

“The boys’ team of Marcus Dornauf, George Bushby, Abel Kay, Robert Dixon Douglas, David Fletcher were a committed and professional outfit,” said Scotch Oakburn’s Director Boys' Sport Science, PE & Health, Cale O'Keefe.

“The Senior Girls’ Tennis Seconds are now the State Premiers for the 4th consecutive year. Kaitlyn Smith, Ella Young, Sarah Ashman, Lucie Wigan and Madeline Bushby played hard, with great determination,” said the Scotch Oakburn’s Person-in-Charge of Girls Tennis, Nicky Reid.
