The Parents & Friends Committee

Welcome. The role of the Parents & Friends (P&F) is to facilitate the involvements of parents in College life and to support and promote the College, its objectives, philosophies and values.

Throughout the school year the P&F hosts and facilitates a number of College events, providing parents, friends and alumni the opportunity to meet and socialise in the College environment and contribute to the many activities of interest.

The P&F is a sub-committee of the Scotch Oakburn Board of Governance.  The Committee comprises of representatives across the campuses:

Angela Edwards – Chairperson, Board of Governance Representative, mother of Chloe (Year 8), Maisie (Year 7) and Mac (Year 1)

Andy Muller – Principal, Scotch Oakburn College, father of Ellie (Year 8)

Tammy Gray – Junior School Representative, mother of Mollie (Year 4), William (Year 7) and Samuel (Year 10)

Kim Archer – Senior School Representative, mother of Lawson (Year 8) and Bede (Year 11)

Claire Allen – Secretary, Community Relations Coordinator

Here are just some of activities the P&F activities that feature in the College calendar:

Morning tea – first day of School (Junior School and Middle School), New Parent Cocktail Party, Valley Campus Family Day, in conjunction with Education Outdoors, College Fair and Cooking Bee, Year Level Parent Gatherings – in conjunction with student activities, Mothers’ Day Morning Tea and Stall,  College Dinner, Fathers’ Breakfast, and the Melbourne Cup Lunch.

In addition of these social activities, the P&F facilitate parent education opportunities, known as Parent Forums.  These information evenings cover a wide variety of topics, including health, welfare and education.

The P&F supports other College events and activities throughout the year, as they arise.

Volunteers – we need you!

Volunteers are needed for many of the activities that the P&F host.  If you are in a position to help with any of the events, we welcome your offer and involvement.  Contact the P&F Secretary, Claire Allen (information below) and register your interest for a particular event.
