Scotch Oakburn is a member school of the Independent Primary School Heads of Australia (IPSHA). This group provides a forum for the sharing of ideas and information with other member schools in Tasmania and across all States through an annual calendar of meetings and professional learning for staff, along with student activities.
Next week, Scotch Oakburn hosts the Term 1 meeting of the State IPSHA branch. Heads of schools and Learning Support teachers from Hobart and Launceston IPSHA schools will have a professional learning session led by a Clinical Psychologist with special interests in Neurodevelopmental Disorders and Child Psychology.
Then on Friday 8 March, groups of Year 5 and 6 students from these schools will have a Student Leadership day together, meeting peers from around the State and developing their leadership skills.
