A School Holiday Program for Year 5 & 6 students – Monday 15 to Thursday 18 April.
This four-day residential program is aimed at students who want to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence required to plan and conduct their own scientific research. Catering for girls and boys in Years 5 and 6 from around Tasmania, the goal is to encourage passion and expertise in science inquiry.
Tasmanian students have a clearly defined pathway to promote scientific inquiry skills. Excellence in science is promoted through participation in the:
• UTAS Science and Engineering Investigation Awards
• Tasmanian Science Talent Search (TSTS) Research Investigations
• BHP Foundation Science & Engineering Awards
Sadly, not all students have the same opportunity to embark on that pathway and excel in science.
Your child can receive exceptional instruction on the Primary Science Inquiry Camp. Through a variety of hands-on, practical opportunities your child will understand how to produce a high quality science inquiry for the UTAS Science & Engineering Investigation Awards and the Tasmanian Science Talent Search Research Investigations.
