Ethan Hamilton (Year 11) has clinched the titles of “Best Public Speaker” and “Overall State Winner” in Lions Youth of the Year in Forth on Sunday 14 April.  As part of the journey, Ethan submitted a lengthy application on his achievements, passions and aspirations, undertook three lengthy interviews with different judging panels and delivered his prepared speech and responded to impromptu questions to three different adult audiences. He will now attend the National Final in Geelong over four days (Friday 3 May – Monday 6 May).

As a result of Ethan’s Tasmanian success, he has already won a trip to New Zealand to attend a youth camp with students from around the globe, a week at the National winner’s home town (whoever that is who takes out the Overall National Prize), as well as a small cash prize.

The College congratulates Ethan on his outstanding run and wish him all the best in Geelong where we are sure he will do us all proud.
