Last week in Hobart, Government House held a ceremony to celebrate and acknowledge the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme running for 60 years in Tasmania.

The College was awarded a commemorative certificate to acknowledge us as an Award Unit that has been offering the program for 56 years!

The certificate was presented to the College by Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Kate Warner, AC, Governor of Tasmania.

Emily Foster and India Veevers, our Gold Award recipients, then presented this award to our Deputy Principal, Mrs Kate Croft, during an assembly on Monday.

I would like to extend congratulations to all the past Award Leaders of the College for their time and contribution in running the program, and to all the students both past and present for their involvement.
