This week’s assemblies at Penquite recognised the many students who took up the opportunity of participating in the Australian History Competition and/or the Australian Geography Competition.

It is wonderful to see the achievements of these students and especially encouraging to see so many students take up this challenge. Special congratulations must go to Jordan May Shephard, who achieved a ranking in the top 1% in Year 10 Australia-wide and first place in Year 10 in Tasmania in the Australian Geography Competition and Zara Musk who has been announced as State Champion in Year 7 for the Australian History Competition.  This is a sensational effort and both of these students will receive special recognition in an upcoming assembly.
