National Science Week, August 10-18, is Australia’s annual celebration of science and technology. It provides an opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of Australian scientists to the world of knowledge. It also aims to encourage an interest in science pursuits among students of all ages, including the general public, and to encourage younger people to be fascinated by the world we live in.

The theme for schools this year is Destination Moon: more missions, more science.

Our lunar module and displays in conneXions will be a stimulus for a range of science-focused learning experiences across the campus next week. Parents are welcome to visit conneXions with their child(ren) during the week. Perhaps an opportunity for discussions on science questions or topics might arise at home in Science Week, or even a visit to the Museum might be fitted in?
