Congratulations to all players for their efforts over the weekend of 9-10 November at the Northern High School Basketball Tournament. All teams were very competitive and the sportsmanship displayed over all the games by all players was excellent.

Results – Girls Teams
The Year 7/8 Div 1 team, coached by Pip Robinson, finished on top, defeating St Patrick’s College (37-36) in the final and have qualified for the State Championships.
The Year 9/10 Div 1 team, coached by Kellie Smith, lost to Kings Meadows High in the final (36-40), and have qualified for the State Championships.
The Year 7/8 Div 2 team, coached by Solomon Berechree and Kate Wallace, played extremely well together over the weekend and finished 6th in their division.

Results – Boys Teams
The Year 9/10 Div 1 team, coached by Dylan Warren, lost to Riverside (40-53) and finished 3rd in their division.  They have qualified for the State Championships.
The Year 9/10 Div 2 team, coached by Brett Hadley, had a couple of good wins over the weekend and finished 3rd in their pool.
The Year 7/8 Div 2 team, coached by Brett de Hayr, finished 3rd with a close win over St Patrick’s College (27-21)
The Year 7/8 Div 1 team, coached by Ben McShane has some hard games over the weekend and finished 5th overall.

All in all a very successful tournament with three out of a possible four teams now qualifying for the State Championships which are being held over the weekend of 23-24 November at Elphin Sports Centre.

A huge thank you to all players, parents, team managers and our coaches as events like this are only as successful as the people involved. Your support and participation certainly ensured that this was the case this year.
