AUTUMN CONCERT
Scotch Oakburn College’s annual Autumn Concert was held in the Horton Auditorium on Thursday 25 May. The concert provided the College’s bands, choirs and string ensembles with an opportunity to share their musical talents and artistry. Hosted by the College’s 2023 Music Captains, Amy Spinks and Nathaniel Elijah, the Autumn Concert was the first major concert in the College calendar.
The Autumn Concert plays a vital role in showcasing the musical talents of our students. It provides them with a platform to share the music they have been rehearsing, and it builds confidence and fosters a deep appreciation of music making. Such events also contribute to the overall cultural enrichment of the College community.
The success of the Autumn Concert can be attributed not only to the incredible talent displayed by the musicians on stage but also to the dedication and hard work of the College’s Music Tutors and Music Teachers.
If students wish to join one of the College’s bands, choirs or orchestras there are still places available. Please talk with one of the music staff. Should a student be interested in learning to play an instrument please complete this online form or contact our Music Administrator, Mrs Helen Carroll, at Music.Admin@soc.tas.edu.au.
