The Year 12 2018 cohort have led the College wonderfully. Their willingness to bear the torch of school spirit, engaging in the full spectrum of College life, not to mention their enthusiasm to engage in projects beyond out gates, epitomises the character of the cohort.

In this way, they have inspired and involved their peers across the College to bring their best to whatever pursuit they are involved in. As a result, we have witnessed the spirit of friendly rivalry in House competitions, great sportsmanship and camaraderie on the sporting field, excellence on the […]

If there is righteousness in the heart,
there will be beauty in the character.
If there is beauty in the character,
there will be harmony in the home.
If there is harmony in the home,
there will be order in […]

On Tuesday 11 December, Celebration was held at the Albert Hall, Launceston.  It included a wonderful evening of performances from events throughout the year, an opportunity to thank our Year 12 cohort for their time at the College and the announcement of our 2019 student leadership team.

A highlight of the evening was our College choir, made up of students from all year levels and staff.

Thank you to all our performers and participants for a great evening.

Alongside lots of reading for pleasure, the holiday break might offer a chance for students to reflect on this ‘Creative Thinking’ whiteboard which was a feature of the Elphin Art Studio this year and was shared with the audience at last week’s Final Assembly for the Year 5 class of 2018.

Staying at the University of Melbourne (Queen’s College), the boys played three 50 over games. The first game was against Carey Grammar with Scotch Oakburn winning by just 6 runs. Make yourself redundant these holidays!

2018-12-12T12:47:48+11:0012 December, 2018|Categories: Term 4 2018, Weekly News 2018|Tags: |

The basic task of parenting, whether you have a 2-year-old, a 12-year-old or even a 22-year-old is to work yourself out of a job. There is no better time for this than during the holidays!
