CHAPEL GREEN

The Chapel Green is the centrepiece of the Senior School Campus and has a very strong emotional connection with many past and present students and staff.

The Green has been widely used for many years with the profile of the original turf wicket from the 1930s still visible. However, over the years a thatch layer has developed, which holds water and therefore during winter months the ground becomes unusable. Planned work underway will remove the turf surface then install better drainage and an updated irrigation system, before re-seeding the whole area. Students will then be able to use the area all year round.
