COLLEGE WINS CO-ED AGGREGATE SHIELD 23 YEARS IN THE MAKING

On Wednesday 10 March, the Scotch Oakburn College Swim Team attended the NSATIS competition at the Launceston Aquatic Centre. Our talented team represented the College with distinction. There were many outstanding individual and team performances. The highlight of the carnival was the number of first placings and records achieved by our relay performances; reflecting the depth of talent in the team. In a split carnival due to COVID regulations, the following results were highlights.

Overall Scotch Oakburn won the U14 Girls’ and Boys’ Pennants, U15 Girls’ Pennant, and the U16 Boys’ and Girls’ Pennants. The team also won the Girls’ Junior and Senior Shields, the Boys Senior Shield, the Girls Aggregate Shield and the greatest team achievement of the day, the Co-Ed Aggregate Shield for the first time in 23 years. Congratulations to all swimmers on such a fantastic day of swimming.

The team travel to Hobart on Tuesday 23 March, to compete at the SATIS Carnival, where we look forward to some more outstanding performances. Good luck!
