COMMUNITY EDUCATION PROGRAM
Circle of Security Parenting Program
Our next Circle of Security parenting program has been rescheduled to Term 2. As a result of this, we now have three places available (at time of writing).
The program will be hosted by Franny Stewart and Jo McFarlane. Franny is a registered Psychologist and is our Junior School Counsellor. One of Franny’s passions is working with and supporting parents. Jo is our Learning Support Teacher at the Elphin Campus and has extensive experience working with families and children with disabilities.
The program, the internationally acclaimed Circle of Security® Parenting™, is a relationship based early intervention program designed to enhance attachment security between parents and children. This program reflects over 50 years of research on the long-term impact of the parent/child relationship in the early years and attachment theory.
Learning Objectives:
Understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read the emotional needs
Support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions
Enhance the development of your child’s self esteem
Honour your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure
