The past Saturday was filled with a whole lot of fun at Paul Coulson Memorial All Schools Gymkhana held at Westbury. It was wonderful to have some newcomers to the Equestrian team, participating in an event for the first time.

While the team was successful, bringing home numerous trophies and ribbons, the true success of these events goes well beyond what were superb results.

It was a huge team effort from both parents and students, and it was wonderful to be part of the strong and supportive team spirit that makes equestrian such a compelling sport.

Great horsemanship and fabulous friendship and mentoring really made the event.   I would like to thank all the families for their support and contribution to making the event such a success. Our winning teams were as follows:

Gymkhana: Team of Three
Lucy Johnston (Year 6)
Bethany Hirst (Year 11)
Isla Willows (Year 4)

Gymkhana: Senior Show Jumping Trophy:
Harry Furzer (Year 11)
Annabelle Peddie (Year 8)
Bethany Hirst (Year 11)

We would also like to express our gratitude to Launceston Pony and Riding Club for hosting this event and making this fund day possible for our equestrian team.

Person-in-Charge of Equestrian
