This week saw the National Sorry Day for the Stolen Generation of our First Peoples.

The photo with my article today is a reflective poem by Alison Overeem, The Leprena Centre Manager  (Uniting Church Aboriginal and Islander Christian Congress):

As we reflect on these children, I am also reminded of yet another shooting at an Elementary School in the United States this week.

So this week, I ask everyone to pray, no matter what our faith is, that our schools, across the globe, are a safe environment for our children, that their safety is paramount and that we will do all we can to protect them.
