Celebrations of Learning

The last eight days of the school year for Junior School students are a time for us all to not only finish off a range of learning investigations and tasks but also to enjoy celebrating together a wonderful year of learning in individual classrooms, across the campus, and sometimes beyonthe campus.

This week the 2022 College Yearbook was distributed and it contains a wide range of reflections from throughout the year – memories to treasure and for students and families to revisit from time to time in future years.

On Tuesday next week, 2023 Prep students will visit their new classrooms and on Thursday these students (current Early learning Erina) will share a celebration event and picnic day with their families.

On Wednesday morning the Prep 2022 Learning Celebration event commences at 9:00 am, followed by the Year 1 2022 Learning Celebration event at 10:45 am.

On Thursday evening, commencing at 6:30 pm, our Year 4 students will lead the Family Carol Service which also includes Years 2 -5 choirs and instrumentalists. This is on the Green at the Elphin Campus and all College families are most welcome to attend.

On Friday students in Years 1-5 in 2023 will visit their new classrooms and meet their new class teacher. Following this, one of the special College traditions, the Final Assembly for Year 5 students, will be held in the HPEC@Elphin from 1:30 pm to 2:45 pm. All Year 5 parents and families are warmly invited to attend as the students are presented with their Mary Fox Certificate ahead of transitioning to the Penquite Campus and Middle School next year.

On Monday 12 December all Prep to Year 5 students will have Year Level picnics and on Tuesday 13 December, the Early Learning Elphin classes will have their Learning Celebration and picnic day.

At 7:00 pm on Tuesday 13 December, the College Celebration event will be held at the Silverdome.

All families will now have received details of their child’s event(s) and we look forward to sharing this time with as many in our learning community as are able to join us during this wonderful time of the school year.
