FROM THE JUNIOR SCHOOL
Mid-Year Celebratory Week
This week has seen daily lunchtime events for many students across the Junior School – alongside the usual weekly learning programs at all Year levels:
Monday – Art Club with Mrs Creese and Mrs Kilner was extended to invite any students who wished to join in.
Tuesday – the Year 5 Rock Band led by Mr Dingemanse drew a ‘full house’ crowd to the Mary Fox Hall.
Wednesday – the Junior School String Orchestra led by Mrs Bye and Mr Sulzberger entertained a large audience, also in the Mary Fox Hall.
Thursday – Inter-House drone races had the crowd in the HPEC@Elphin at fever pitch! Organised by Mrs Saville and Mr Dolbey, these ran in parallel with House obstacle course relays. At the same time, HPE time trial games led by Ms Reid and Mrs Reynolds drew many students to the Netball Court.
Friday – Led by Mr Prideaux, the cast of the 2023 Year 5 production, Lion King Kids captivated their audience with excerpts and a singalong from the production.
Thank you to all students who joined these activities as participants or audience members and thank you to all staff who coordinated one or more events.
