FROM THE JUNIOR SCHOOL
Welcome to an exciting time for all at the Junior School! A chance to create so many new beginnings for our Elphin Campus community. A key focus for all is “What do you do with a…?”.
Throughout our LIVE@Elphin so many examples of creativity, curiosity and collaboration provided highlights and insights for our Junior School as we continue to focus on enabling and supporting everyone to be tomorrow’s leaders and problem solvers. One highlight that students have enjoyed was the opportunity to explore more of Claremont Park through an intentional plan for more learning experiences and enjoyment of play at lunchtime!
A special welcome to Mrs Simone Ralph, our Director of Teaching and Learning – Elphin Campus. Simone’s passion and experience for learning, inquiry mindset and school leadership will be pivotal for our community.
This week also celebrated a wonderful achievement by Mrs Suzanne Creese, who has been recognised for her outstanding teaching and pedagogical leadership of the Arts throughout her 30 years of service. Suzanne has continued to be a dynamic learning leader and she refers to her career at Scotch Oakburn as a ‘privilege’. We look forward to many more creative and curious learning moments in the future.
Events for Elphin Campus in the week ahead:
Prep 100 Days – Prep parents and carers will join us on Tuesday 1 August as students highlight their learning in their first 100 days of schooling.
Discovery Day – on Wednesday 2 August we are thrilled to welcome many families looking to join our community to Discovery Day! Our Year 5 and Year 12 student leaders will help provide insights to our Elphin Campus.
Coffee@Laneway is open for all of our community every Thursday. We invite parents and carers to stop by for a coffee and a chat.
Hoc Choc and Chat, led by Rev Grace Reynolds, will be on Tuesday mornings in Laneway for students to ‘chat’ and enjoy a hot chocolate to start their day of questions!
