Celebrating a Legacy of Student Leadership

A highlight this week for our Elphin Campus community was the return of 2016 Year 5 student leaders, as part of the Year 12 Valedictory Week.  On Thursday morning our current Year 5 students hosted the Final Assembly for our Year 12 Leavers.  A special moment for students, staff and families to re-connect with the Junior School years, a chance to enjoy discussing the memories of their time at the Elphin Campus.

One highlight was the signing of  ‘Lanterns’ by our current Year 5 students, paying tribute to the Year 12 students as this was their farewell song performed in Year 5 in 2016.   Congratulations to the Year 12 cohort, the speeches made by Ollie McFarlane, Charlie Crosby, Harison Sellar, Scarlett O’Keefe and Chloe Davis all provided highlights of their experiences from Early Learning to Year 5.

Thank you for the personalised approach from our current Year 5 team, the sense of appreciation, care and compassion was certainly seen, heard and felt by all those in attendance.  I wish every Year 12 student every success, remember to apply your talents, make the most of opportunities, and be courageous to make the world a better one into the future.

Education Outdoors – exploration and connection to nature Year 1

This week our Year 1 students travelled to the Valley Campus for the first time!  Exploring nature, connecting with the environment and preparing for future programs.  A wonderful day of learning was experienced, providing the confidence and reassurance that future learning opportunities will be approach with enthusiasm, courage and curiosity.
