End of Term

Thank you to all students, families and staff for such a productive and successful Term 2 in so many respects.  The recent bread-making project in an Early Learning 3 class incorporating learning through Claremont Garden over many weeks (olive and rosemary bread!), and the Year 5 Habitats for Humanity inquiry unit Exhibition celebrated this week, bookended what has been such an exciting Term’s learning for all Junior School students.

Music soirees led by Year 5 musicians, and LIVE@Elphins led by Prep Shaw and Year 3 Gillet students this week, are further examples of the many and varied learning experiences which have inspired learners across the Campus over the last few weeks.

The Elphin Office is closed from Friday 1 July (4.00pm) until Monday 25 July 25 (8.00am).  During this time the Junior School can be contacted via the Penquite Campus if required. This office is open daily from 9.00am to 4.00pm during the break.

Thank you to all members of the Junior School College learning community for your contribution to a wonderful Term 2. Best wishes to everybody for an enjoyable, restful and safe mid-year break.

Lunar Module has landed

Students visiting conneXions this week were captivated by the replica lunar module and night sky backdrop display which greeted them. The vibrant space which is the conneXions learning hub and home to the Junior School library collection is designed to excite and engage young learners. Mrs Dana Hinds, Mrs Katrina Edmunds, Ms Kylie Brewster and Dr Marissa Saville are key staff members who are continually developing new displays, promoting books and reading, exhibiting student work,  and reimagining learning prompts to ignite the ideas and interests of students of all Junior School ages in this space. Parents with a few spare minutes at drop-off or pickup time are welcome to visit conneXions with their child at any time through the Term.
