FROM THE MIDDLE SCHOOL
Learning is a cyclic three-way partnership!
As the Parent-Student-Teacher Conferences approach (Monday 1 May) for all Middle School students, it provides a chance to prepare for learning conversations and learning goal clarity. The pivotal point of these conferences is the ‘student voice’, including that our students take ownership of their progress and commitment to short-term learning goals.
Prior to Monday, all Middle School students have been reminded of the importance of the conference being about them, to receive feedback and to plan for their learning actions this Term. As a community, we have a shared responsibility to hold our students capable and to ensure that they have the support network to be at their best. A reminder to all students and families that Monday 1 May is dedicated to these conferences, with no formal classes on this day. All students are expected to attend with parents/carers.
#belong Middle School Café – Hot Choc and Chat
Commencing on Monday 8 May, Rev Grace Reynolds and our Chapel Connectors will provide hot chocolate for Middle School students from 8:10 am to 8:30 am. This weekly gift is to welcome students early into the Middle School from the cool Autumn weather. The Middle School Café space provides a perfect venue for a conversation about the week ahead or the weekend just past each and every Monday during Term Two.
