Student Exchanges for Year 8
The Middle School community continues to connect with many Australasian Round Square Schools with Year 8 student exchanges and applications for Round Square conferences returning to our Middle School program.
This week, we welcomed two students from Christ College, New Zealand into Year 8. Having such exchange opportunities creates a real connection to the Round Square IDEALS.
Promoting global citizenship and seeing that we share common aspirations for our future is one clear learning benefit. Importantly, learning how to accept new members into our community and displaying empathy for diversity are also critical elements of student exchanges. During Terms Two and Three, we will continue to benefit from the Round Square exchange program as our Middle School students enjoy the chance to explore other Round Square Schools and bring back to Scotch Oakburn their experience and learning.
