Attitude is a choice

A week full of opportunities has again been witnessed and accepted on so many levels in the Middle School.  With auditions underway for the College Musical – Seussical, our Middle School students have shown in great numbers their keenness to be involved in the cast and part of the creation of this on-stage opportunity.  Furthermore, our combined choir is enjoying high levels of attendance from Middle School singers!  As many summer sports begin rostered competition, the chance for teamwork and collaboration is in front of our teams as they embark on the summer sports season.

During this week, our Year 7 community have been preparing for their Education Outdoors Program, which officially commences on Monday.  This program is again another wonderful learning opportunity connecting with so many of our College’s Learner Attributes.  A major focus of this week of learning in the outdoors is to engage with and celebrate that we all #belong!  The program includes, a high ropes experience, surfing on the East Coast, beach art, science investigations into the water quality of the Valley Campus Lake and nearby South Esk River, historic visits to ‘Garth’ and a bushwalk into the State Reserve to an old Gold Mine site.  One comment that was highlighted during the preparation day was that ‘we chose our attitude’!  A statement that we all can accept and embrace each day to each opportunity that is presented.

I look forward to witnessing these attitude choices during another exciting week of learning and exploring.
