FROM THE MIDDLE SCHOOL
Community, Civics, City, Careers and Cows

Our Middle School is alive with community connection, civics learning, a city learning experience and hands-on investigations of how cows create careers! Week 7 of Term 3 highlights the diversity in the learning opportunities throughout the Middle School.
Our community had an opportunity to get focused on 2023, with Year Level meetings for families this week, highlighting the transition programs in Term 4 for all students attending in 2023.
Currently, our Year 6 students are investigating learning concepts in civics and citizenship, working towards a greater understanding of law-making and parliamentary processes.
Our Year 7 students are preparing for SOC2City next week. Tuning into the key statement; “our city, our river, our history…100 years from now what concepts will further develop the liveability of Launceston?”.
For Year 8 learners, this week has been all about the celebration of Cows Creating Careers. Highlights included visiting guest speakers highlighting real careers in farming (pictured above), dairy industries and veterinary science. Today our Year 8 students are fortunate to experience visiting a working diary! Thank you to our Year 8 staff for enabling such an enriching and memorable learning experience.
#beyou!
