FROM THE SENIOR SCHOOL
Harmony Week
As part of the College’s Harmony Week celebrations, the “Scattered People” documentary was screened this week to a group of TCE students and staff. The Migrant Resource Centre North kindly arranged for this documentary to be shared with the College, and the audience found it a very powerful story. It made us all reflect on our own prejudices and stereotypes towards people of a refugee background.
A brief introduction of the documentary is below:
Through the eyes and hearts of two Iranian musicians, Scattered People is a story about the healing power of music, bringing together people, cultures and countries while exploring Australians’ attitudes towards people seeking asylum. Scattered People is about the power of music to create change and restore hope.
Thank you again to the MRCN and I’d encourage anyone with the opportunity to watch this documentary.
