Student Achievements

Anna Yu (Year 9) performed a Chinese classical item on a Pipa as a part of the opening ceremony of the Modern Language Teachers Association State conference recently. A Pipa is a pear-shaped traditional Chinese musical instrument, sometimes called the “Chinese lute”. We congratulate Anna on her performance.

Violet Haysom (Year 9) recently competed in the International Highland Dancing Festival of Australia, held in Gosford, NSW.  Violet came first in the Irish Jig (restricted premier),  seventh in the Sword Dance (restricted premier), third in the Strathspey and Highland Reel (restricted premier) and third in the Blue Bonnets (premier).
