Round Square International Conference 2022
The 53rd Round Square International Conference 2022 – Take Less: Be More, is being held in the UK this year from Monday 19 September to Monday 26 September. Many in our community will recall the last physical Round Square International Conference was to be held at Scotch Oakburn College in 2020 before being cancelled due to COVID19.
This year, Scotch Oakburn College is sending a delegation of six Year 10 to Year 12 students to the RSIC2022 and will be accompanied by Ms Nicole Willcox and myself. The students will be joining 1500 other 16 to 18-year-old delegates from around the world at the largest ever Round Square International Conference.
Delegates are: Ishani Kataria, Sam Lee, Clair Russell, Jess Ebzery, Kulani Somarathna, Stacey Hyland.
The first part of RSIC2022 is held at Oxford University, before the College’s delegation heads to the Felstead School for Service and Adventure activities. Finally, the group will be heading to The Kingsley School for a Post-Conference tour.
The students will be participating in a range of activities including Baraza sessions (discussions), listening to Keynote Speakers, visiting castles and experiencing a tree-top adventure course; just a few of the amazing activities that await the group. I have no doubt that you agree that the six students will represent our College, our state, and our country exemplarily.
