Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background, united by a set of core Australian values. It has been celebrated in Australia since 1999. The week aims to engage people to participate in their community, respect cultural and religious diversity and foster a sense of belonging for everyone.
Harvest Harmony had been planned in the calendar for this week as an opportunity for us to celebrate together the richness that every member of our community brings to the College. Everyone belongs.
Whilst we aren’t able to be physically together at this time, it can still be a time for us to reflect on how important it is to reach out to others, albeit virtually, to maintain and strengthen connections and help each other to feel a true sense of belonging.
