CELEBRATION 2023
Friday 8 December, 2:00 pm
Celebration is a very special event where the community comes together to celebrate and recognise all our students’ achievements as members of the College.
This event has a student-led focus with presentations of music, drama, dance, visual art, public speaking and sport as a celebration of the year’s activities at the College. It also includes important traditional elements including prize-giving, our final farewell to the Year 12s and the announcement of the 2024 student leaders.
Celebration this year will be on Friday 8 December, commencing at 2.00 pm. This change is due to the internal decisions made by the venue, which resulted in the College being provided with only two options, Friday 8 December or Tuesday 5 December. The earlier date wouldn’t provide enough time for all the preparations and rehearsals to take place, or all awards to be determined and so Friday 8 December was identified as the date. After consideration, it was decided that a Friday mid-afternoon timing, rather than a night event would be better. An evening event at that time of the year has the potential to create many clashes with work functions, Christmas commitments, etc, and with 10 months’ notice, parents will have ample opportunity to consider work rosters and other commitments.
We look forward to welcoming you to Celebration at the Silverdome.
Andy Müller
Principal
