DESCRIPTION:Join guest speaker Rod Campbell\, a former firefighter and sports coach of over 30 years’ experience\, who has developed programs in Road Safety\, Culture and AFL Football\, based on behaviour and attitude changes. \nLearning Life Through Sport is a program designed to challenge social norms and inspire young people and their communities to bring a new standard of behaviour and respect to sport and life. It identifies positive ways to alter the inherited and often unacceptable behaviour of coaches\, players\, parents and supporters in junior sports. DESCRIPTION:Friendology Curriculum is part of the URStrong framework and is a resource we use at Elphin to provide our students with the skills\, language and self-confidence to be better friends and develop positive relationships. Having a consistent language between home and school is important to help strengthen connections and open up lines of communication. Having a consistent language between home and school is important to help strengthen connections and open up lines of communication. DESCRIPTION:Following our previous correspondence last term regarding the growing issue of teenagers and vaping\, we are pleased to invite you to a Community Education Session on Vaping. This important event will take place in the Horton Auditorium on Wednesday 4 June at 6.30pm. \nVaping is becoming increasingly popular among teenagers\, posing significant health risks and challenges. To further support our community in addressing this issue\, we have organised this session to provide valuable information and resources. \nDuring the session\, we will discuss: \n\nThe health risks associated with vaping and e-cigarettes.\nThe legal implications and regulations surrounding vaping products.\nStrategies for parents to engage in meaningful conversations with their children about the dangers of vaping.\n\nWe strongly encourage parents to attend this session to better understand the impact of vaping on our teenagers and to equip yourselves with the knowledge to support your children effectively.
