Operation Christmas Child is a worldwide event, organized by the Samaritan’s Purse charity, dedicated to bringing happiness and wellbeing to young people in less privileged circumstances than our own.
Scotch Oakburn College took part for the first time last year and had great success, which inspired this year’s Student Executive to evolve a tradition. In the unique social environment of 2020, students have been asked to exercise their teamwork and commitment more than ever before to achieve a goal of 56 boxes, working in our Vertical Tutor Groups. Part of preparing these boxes is providing $10 per box to cover transportation and other ministry expenses.
With special thanks to The Sebel Launceston and Bluestone Bar and Kitchen, we are hosting a raffle to engage the wider College community in this very worthwhile act of charity. Tickets are $5 each and you could win one of 5 X $100 vouchers or 1 X $60 voucher for dinner at Bluestone Bar & Kitchen.
With our sincere thanks, we invite you to take part in one of this year’s most important student-driven charity events at Scotch Oakburn College. Get your tickets on the link below or look out for a member of the Student Executive and you can pay them cash.
