Well done to the many students who competed interstate over the holidays in athletics, swimming and rowing. Many students achieved personal best times at these competitions and we are proud of all their efforts. It was fantastic to see two of our students Lindsay Calvert and Heidi Schouten, make the Australian Junior rowing team as part of the selection trials held in Canberra. This is a first for the College and we wish the two girls all the best as they ramp up preparations leading into the World Cup simulation regatta held in Penrith, NSW in Mid-June.

This week has seen a swift transition from summer to winter sports for Middle and Senior School students. Many teams have begun their training this week. A table outlining and game times for each sport can be downloaded here – Winter sports training schedule 2021. Information for all students is on the sports notice board located in the HPEC foyer.

If you have any questions regarding your son/daughter’s sport allocations for winter, please don’t hesitate to contact me for assistance.

This term will also see the Middle and Senior School Inter-House Cross Country carnival being held on Tuesday 18 May. This is followed by our Scotch Oakburn College Fun Run being held at Scotch Oakburn Park on Saturday 5 June. A schedule and course maps will be up on Sportal in the coming weeks.

I wish all our students the best for the coming term in their sporting endeavours.
