SUMMARY:Narnia - Middle School Play
DESCRIPTION:Step through the wardrobe and into a magical world… \nJoin us as these incredible young performers bring this beloved story to life with adventure\, courage\, and a touch of magic. From snowy forests to epic battles\, this is a performance you won’t want to miss! \nFeaturing over 50 of our Middle School students\, Scotch Oakburn College is proud to present Narnia\, an adaption of CS Lewis’ classic tale\, adapted for the stage by Renee Bakker. \n  \nBOOK NOW\n  \nDuring the Second World War\, the Pevensie siblings – Peter\, Susan\, Edmund\, and Lucy\, are sent from London to the countryside for safety while their father serves with the British forces in France. \nWhile exploring the old house where they are staying\, Lucy discovers that a wardrobe opens into the land of Narnia – a magical\, snow-covered country inhabited by talking animals and strange creatures. Narnia is ruled by the White Witch\, whose magic has kept the land frozen in an endless winter. One by one\, the other children follow Lucy through the wardrobe and become caught up in the problems of this unfamiliar world. \nWith the help of Mr and Mrs Beaver and other inhabitants of Narnia\, the children learn of Aslan\, the true king\, whose return is said to bring an end to the Witch’s rule. Their journey is not straightforward. Edmund\, feeling overlooked and resentful\, is drawn into the Witch’s power\, forcing the others to confront both danger and disappointment within their own family. \nAs events unfold\, Peter must take on responsibilities beyond his years\, much as his father does overseas. Both face conflicts they did not choose\, and both must discover courage within themselves. The children gradually learn that bravery is not the absence of fear\, but the decision to act despite it. \nThe story follows their efforts to rescue Edmund\, support one another\, and help restore peace to Narnia. In doing so\, they grow from uncertain evacuees into confident young leaders\, shaped by hardship\, forgiveness\, and hope. \nAt its heart\, Narnia is a story about family\, duty\, loyalty\, and the quiet forms of courage required in difficult times – whether on a battlefield far away or in a frozen land beyond the back of a wardrobe.

SUMMARY:Play On! - TCE Mid Year Play
DESCRIPTION:Play On! by Rick Abbott is a fast paced and hilarious comedy presented by our TCE drama students\, showcasing their talent\, timing\, and energy on stage. \nThe play follows a struggling theatre group attempting to stage a production while dealing with constant interruptions from an overbearing playwright who insists on revising the script mid rehearsal. What begins as a simple production quickly spirals into chaos\, with missed cues\, forgotten lines\, and mounting confusion. Across three acts\, rehearsal\, dress rehearsal\, and opening night\, the situation becomes increasingly unmanageable\, leading to a wildly entertaining and madcap finale. \nThis production highlights the skill and commitment of our TCE performers\, bringing humour and theatrical mishaps to life in a way that will delight audiences. Don’t miss this fun and energetic performance that celebrates the joy\, challenges\, and unpredictability of live theatre. \nThis is a free event\, however we ask that you reserve your seats using the link provided. \nBOOK NOW
