Building our future together: Launching the Scotch Oakburn College Community Engagement Strategy
At Scotch Oakburn College, education is far more than an academic pursuit—it’s a collective journey built on connection, collaboration, and shared purpose. Recognising the power of community to shape transformative learning experiences, the College is proud to introduce its soon to be released new Community Engagement Strategy, an initiative inspired by our long-term Vision, SOC2035.
This ambitious strategy represents a renewed commitment to fostering a culture of inclusivity, belonging, and active participation among students, parents/carers, staff, Collegians, and external partners. By placing community engagement at the heart of our ethos, we aim to create lasting relationships and opportunities that extend well beyond the classroom.

- Strengthening Collegian Connections Lifelong relationships are integral to the College’s legacy. The strategy fosters engagement with Collegians through mentorship, events, and other initiatives, ensuring they remain connected and valued long after graduation.
- Cultivating a Culture of Giving Beyond financial contributions, the strategy emphasises a collective spirit of giving back. Whether through time, expertise, or resources, this culture of philanthropy strengthens the College’s shared purpose and impact.
- Promoting Inclusion and Engagement Inclusivity is central to the College’s mission. This will ensure a space for every community member to feel valued, heard, and empowered, fostering a sense of belonging that enhances the College experience for all.
- Clarifying Roles and Structures With clear definitions of responsibilities between the College Board and management, the strategy ensures efficient implementation, transparency, and accountability in community initiatives.
- Creating a Framework for Sustainability A robust governance framework, aligned with SOC2035, supports continuous improvement and long-term impact, ensuring that the strategy remains dynamic and responsive to evolving needs
