IT SUPPORT OFFICER
We have an opportunity for a motivated and passionate IT Support Officer to join our team on a permanent full-time basis.
What you’ll be doing
- Respond to and resolve IT-related inquiries and issues in a timely manner
- Provide hands-on technical support for desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment
- Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of software and hardware
- Collaborate with the IT team to identify and implement technology solutions that enhance the college’s operations
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all IT support activities
- Contribute to the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies
What we’re looking for
- Relevant experience in a similar IT support role, preferably in an educational or academic setting
- Strong technical skills, including knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365 applications and macOS operating systems, common software applications, and troubleshooting techniques
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to identify and resolve IT-related issues
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
- Familiarity with relevant IT policies, regulations, and best practices
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and changes in the IT landscape
