About the artwork:
‘Botanical Flight – Tasmanian Birds’ is a series that represents some of the most colourful and often seen Tasmanian native species. Few can be spotted in a backyard garden, many on a walk and others only in their own unique habitats.
About the artist:
Christina Graham is a lutruwita/Tasmanian artist and illustrator. Strongly drawn to the documentation of natural occurrences and drawn to an exploration of the space between people, nature and bodies of land. Inspired by her island home, its unique environment and wild places, Christina intricately paints the flora and fauna this inspires. Christina is a traditional artist, working with watercolour, gouache and ink. She is a Collegian of Scotch Oakburn College.
