All caregivers are invited to attend a session with Samantha Bramich, Sleep Scientist, on Monday 13 May, 6:30 pm, at the Elphin Campus during which she will talk about what sleep is, how it changes over the lifespan, how to create good sleep pattens in our children and adolescents, barriers to sleep and when to investigate sleep issues. This session is targeted towards parents of younger children; however, all are welcome.

Samantha Bramich has been a paediatric sleep scientist at the Launceston General Hospital for the past 12 years. She originally studied psychology at the University of Tasmania and then went on to complete a Master of Science in Sleep Medicine at the University of Sydney in 2019. She has a keen interest in the impact of sleep on health across the lifespan and is currently a PhD candidate with the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre at the University of Tasmania. Her doctoral research is focused on sleep disorders and neurodegeneration in older adults; however, she has longstanding experience in paediatric sleep disorders and has presented sleep information sessions to both children and adults throughout her career. Samantha is a keen science communicator and is excited to share her knowledge of the importance of sleep with the college community.
