Carpenter / Maintenance
We are seeking a full time Carpenter / Maintenance to contribute to the upkeep and smooth operation of our prestigious College. As part of the College’s Maintenance Services Team, you will be responsible for completing a range of general maintenance tasks and carpentry work to support the College’s operations and ensure our facilities remain in excellent condition.
What you’ll be doing
- Undertake specialised building and carpentry services across all College campuses, including maintenance of existing facilities, improvements and new College minor building projects.
- Provide courteous, practical and customer-focused support to staff and stakeholders including delivering planned, preventative and cyclical maintenance in line with the annual maintenance plan.
- Provide assistance with the set up and pull down of specific College events or as directed by the Maintenance Services Manager and the College Facilities and Services Manager.
- Maintain working knowledge of the College’s security and access systems, including arming/disarming alarms, isolating detectors, and troubleshooting related issues.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, works requests and asset information.
- Facilitate a safe working environment and participating in proactively supporting a healthy workplace.
What we’re looking for
- Formal qualifications in Carpentry or a similar trade, with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Strong practical skills and the ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A flexible and adaptable approach to meet the changing needs of the College
