Camp Leaders

A camp leader is a student who takes on responsibility to support both staff and younger students during junior school camps. They help organise activities, assist with supervision, and ensure that all students are safe, included, and having a positive experience. Year 9 & 10 Leadership

A Year 9/10 leader is a student who takes on extra responsibility to support their school community, especially during important times of the year. They might assist teachers during events, welcome new students, and act as positive role models for younger year levels. Their duties can include organising or helping run assemblies, fundraising events, peer-support activities, or lunchtime clubs. From 2026, Community Service Events will form part of our Service and Leadership co-curricular program, giving students opportunities to support meaningful community initiatives while developing skills in teamwork, leadership, organisation, and communication. College Events

From 2026, major College Events will be offered as co-curricular opportunities as part of the Service and Leadership Co-curricular category. This means students can actively contribute to key moments in College life that showcase community and service events while developing teamwork, leadership, organisation and communication skills. Where applicable, involvement in approved events will contribute to the Years 7–12 co-curricular points requirement, recognising genuine commitment and participation.

Library Monitor Program

The Library Monitor Program is a voluntary lunchtime activity for students in Years 6–12, with Year 6 able to join in Semester 2, requiring attendance once per 10-day cycle. The program introduces students to essential library skills such as shelving, circulation tasks, and using the computerised library system, while also developing workplace skills including customer service, problem-solving, and responding to basic enquiries. Year 10 Dinner Committee

Year 10 Dinner Committee at Scotch Oakburn College is a student-led group responsible for planning and delivering the Year 10 Formal Dinner—one of the first major milestone events in the Senior School journey. Students collaborate on venue selection, theme, decorations, AV setup, and event logistics, developing leadership, teamwork, and organisational skills.
