CAREERS ADVISER
What you’ll be doing
- Providing career counselling and guidance to students, helping them identify their interests, skills and aspirations
- Organising and delivering career-focused workshops and presentations to students on topics such as job search strategies, CV writing and interview techniques
- Researching and maintaining up-to-date information on various educational and career pathways, including university, vocational and apprenticeship options
- Liaising with teachers, parents and external organisations to ensure a collaborative approach to student career development
- Assisting students in navigating the tertiary admissions process, including providing advice on course selection and scholarship opportunities
What we’re looking for
- Qualifications in career development, guidance counselling or a relevant field
- Experience working as a Careers Adviser in an educational setting
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and trust with students
- Strong research and information management skills to stay up-to-date with the latest educational and career trends
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver engaging and impactful careers-related workshops and presentations
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively with teachers, parents and external stakeholders
