Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award: A globally recognised program that encourages young people to challenge themselves and develop essential life skills. Bronze, Silver, and Gold awards can be achieved. Participants must complete activities in four sections: Service, Skill, Physical Recreation, and Adventurous Journey. Each section is designed to help students develop new skills, improve their physical fitness, and contribute to their community.

The Student Executive at Scotch Oakburn College is the leading student leadership body, made up of Year 12 students who demonstrate initiative, integrity, and a commitment to the College community. Roles include College Captains, House Captains, Round Square Chairs, and portfolio leaders across areas such as student voice, media, sport, and service. Members are selected through a comprehensive application and interview process and are responsible for representing the student body, leading key initiatives, and modelling the College’s Values in everyday life.
