BOARDING HOUSE DUTY STAFF (Residential and Non-Residential)

We have a range of opportunities for Boarding House shifts which include:

  • Mid-week afternoon/evening shifts
  • Mid-week morning shifts
  • Weekend rosters (Saturday and/or Sunday)
  • Sleepover shifts which include accommodation and meals when on duty

Position Description – BH Duty Staff

Boarding House Duty staff are responsible for the oversight of the health, safety, behaviour and general well-being of the boarding students who are aged between 11 to 18 years.  Duties include supervision at meal times, overseeing the general tidiness of rooms, assisting the boarders in their daily routines, assist in settling students each evening.

Pre-requisites for a Bus Driver at Scotch Oakburn College are:

  • Current Drivers Licence – Medium Rigid
  • Public Passenger Vehicle Ancillary Certificate
  • Working with Vulnerable People (Children) registration
  • National Police Certificate (Schedule 1 Record)
  • First Aid Qualification – Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting

We are seeking to employ permanent part-time Duty Staff to join our Boarding House team in 2024.  There are opportunities for both Non-Residential and Residential positions.

Hours and Days of Work:

Weekday Shifts:  One day per week (negotiated):  Duty Staff are allocated split shifts on a weekday, each academic week, in which they will be required to work from 7:00am – 9:00am and then from 4:00pm – 11:00pm.  Days will be allocated in negotiation with the Head of Boarding.  In addition, live in (Residential) Duty Staff will be required to do sleepover shifts on a rotational basis every two weeks.  The roster […]

We have opportunities for fully qualified Primary or Early Childhood Teachers to join our casual Relief Pool.  Relief teachers fulfil the daily teaching and other duties normally undertaken by the Teacher (s) whom they are covering for.  This may include rostered yard duties, lunchtime student activities or pre-planned meetings.
