The Community Engagement Strategy is based on best practice, aimed at genuinely including and involving our community through supporting authentic initiatives and partnerships, sharing, and communicating effectively, celebrating our past and present and enabling meaningful connections and contributions.

The Scotch Oakburn Community are those collectively involved and invested in the success, and sustainability of the College and its vision. This definition encompasses many stakeholders (students, parents, staff, collegians and broader community) and contributors and considers that Scotch Oakburn exists and is engaged in several contexts which contribute to its community (e.g., immediate, local, national, and international).

Our Guiding Principles:

  • Is strong, authentic and enduring, fostering connections across generations (Collegian and familial).
  • Promotes a culture of giving, encompassing both financial and non-financial contributions
  • Is mutually beneficial and purpose-driven, supporting partnerships with community organisations, universities, industry, and aligned groups.

  • Is committed to amplifying the diverse voices of our College in major initiatives, events, and strategic opportunities.
