The Scotch Oakburn Rowing Program is a high-performance summer sport offering students the opportunity to train and compete in one of Tasmania’s most demanding and rewarding disciplines. Centred around teamwork, resilience, and personal growth, the program includes early morning training sessions, regattas, and camps such as the Senior Rowing Camp at Lake Rosebery, which provides uninterrupted water and a unique adventure experience for students.

Riders develop horsemanship and compete in show jumping and dressage events, representing the College at external competitions.

Choose mountain or road biking and race in local series. Skills sessions, competitions, and championship events offer adventure, fitness, and camaraderie. Bring your own bike and join the ride!

Train one/two afternoons per week (3:45 pm – 5:15 pm) and play matches on Saturday for senior teams. Cricket is a full semester commitment in Term One and Term Four. Our Senior Firsts and Seconds teams play in a state-wide competition as part of SATIS so match locations vary around the state during Term One with a T20 Competition for Senior Firsts in Term Four during the head start program. Term 1 Year 7-8: Students will be involved in a 3×3 Competition with a strong emphasis on fitness, skills and fun. This competition is usually Thursday nights. Year 9-12: Students play in the College’s NSATIS Senior Competition involving all independent schools in the North and North West. Games are usually Wednesday nights but can vary. Term 2 Year 11 and 12: Basketball Tasmania College Championships are held over a weekend annually (dates vary year to year). Train and compete in a weekly NSATIS roster. Badminton encourages agility, strategy, and teamwork, welcoming players of all skill levels to enjoy competitive and social play.
Year Level: Year 9 – 12

Train and compete in track and field events, representing the College in the House, All Schools, NSATIS, and SATIS Carnivals. This activity is undertaken alongside summer sport commitments.
