EXPLORING ART

Year 3 students have been exploring the beauty of Australian and Tasmanian birds through drawing and painting.

Building on their prior knowledge of the elements of art, they focused on line, colour, and value, while observing and creating artworks inspired by nature specifically birds.

Through artmaking and the study of artists who feature Australian birds in their practice, students developed a sense of wonder, appreciation, and connection to the natural world through art while developing their skills and processes.
