STRONG GLOBAL PARTNERSHIPS

Visiting Osaka International High School, Japan
Strong global partnerships continue to be a defining strength of Scotch Oakburn College, enriching learning, broadening perspectives and strengthening our sense of connection to the world.
Our active participation in the Round Square network remains central to this work. Through student and staff attendance at international conferences, involvement in mini-clusters and engagement in student exchanges, we provide authentic opportunities for our young people to experience different cultures, challenge their thinking and grow as globally minded citizens. Importantly, this work is also evident closer to home, where students engage in local initiatives focused on awareness raising and service, closely aligned with the Round Square IDEALS. These experiences play a powerful role in shaping empathy, resilience and a deep appreciation of diversity.
Our commitment is further reflected in the range of cultural and service tours we offer. In 2026, students will travel to Singapore and China for rich cultural immersion experiences, while our South Africa tour will focus on meaningful, service-based engagement. These opportunities allow students to develop a deeper understanding of the world and the impact they can have beyond their immediate environment.
Recently, we were privileged to host students and staff from Beijing Jingshan School. This visit provided a rich immersion experience for our guests, who expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity, a sentiment we equally share. Our partnership with Jingshan continues to grow in both strength and significance.
At the same time, our presence in Japan and South Korea over the past week has focused on strengthening relationships with sister schools, agents and prospective families. This work is laying important foundations for a sustainable, long-term exchange program across both our Day and Boarding School.
Together, these partnerships reflect our commitment to preparing students for a world that is deeply interconnected.
