Pipes & Drums at Scotch Oakburn College is a distinctive performing arts ensemble that celebrates the College’s Scottish heritage through traditional music. Students rehearse regularly to develop musical discipline, coordination, and ensemble performance skills, contributing to College events such as the Autumn and Spring Concerts, Celebration and ANZAC ceremonies. The group fosters pride, teamwork, and cultural appreciation, and offers students a unique opportunity to engage with historical musical traditions in a modern educational setting.

College Choir at Scotch Oakburn College is a vibrant co-curricular vocal ensemble open to students and staff across campuses. The choir rehearses weekly and performs regularly at major College events and concerts. With a focus on inclusivity and musical growth, the choir welcomes all experience levels and fosters confidence, collaboration, and a love of singing. Participation strengthens community spirit and showcases the College’s commitment to the performing arts through a diverse repertoire and shared performances. The current focus of this choir is Musical Theatre Songs.

The College Production is a major biennial event staged at the Princess Theatre, showcasing student talent across Years 6–12. Round Square Conferences and trips at Scotch Oakburn College are transformative international and regional experiences that connect students with peers from across the globe to explore leadership, service, and global citizenship. Anchoreded in the Round Square IDEALS—Internationalism, Democracy, Environmentalism, Adventure, Leadership, and Service—these conferences and trips offer immersive learning through workshops, cultural exchange, and collaborative projects. Students apply through a rigorous College process involving written applications, interviews, and wellbeing checks, ensuring readiness and alignment with the College’s Values.

Diversity Club at Scotch Oakburn College is a student-led co-curricular group that fosters inclusion, awareness, and advocacy for LGBTQIA+ students and allies. It provides a safe and welcoming space for students to engage in meaningful conversations, celebrate diversity, and lead initiatives that promote equality across the College. Activities include assemblies, creative projects, community events like Harvest Harmony, and proposals for inclusive changes such as non-gender-specific uniforms. The club embodies the College’s ethos of “Known. Valued. Cared For.” and empowers students to be agents of positive change

Chess Club at Penquite welcomes all players from Years 6–12, from beginners to experts. Weekly Monday lunchtime sessions in the John Morris Centre and Middle School-only fortnightly sessions offer opportunities to learn, play, and compete in termly tournaments through regular participation.
