PRINCIPAL REAPPOINTED TO 2025
It gives me great pleasure in announcing to you the unanimous decision to extend the contract period of our Principal, Mr Andy Mȕller.
This contract extension will see Andy continue in his role as Principal until the end of the 2025 academic year. This decision is important as it will ensure the College continues its history of strong stable leadership, which is pivotal to delivering the best outcomes for all our learners, and in progressing the strategic goals of the College.
Collectively, the Board recognises the significant and positive impact Andy has had since he commenced his role with Scotch Oakburn College in 2013. Andy’s expertise, focus and passion in relation to the SOC2035 Strategic Vision, the Facilities Masterplan and his commitment to all aspects of the College has benefitted the entire College community.
We acknowledge some of his key contributions as including:
- Planning for, and leadership of several strategic capital projects to benefit the College, including the successful completion in 2017 of the “Helix” Centre for Science and Mathematics, and as recently shared with the College community, current plans for new capital works at Elphin (Inquiry and Environmental Centre) and Penquite (Northern Precinct) campuses.
- Strong and effective management of the College throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, including the implementation of “SOC@home” in 2020, and associated policies and plans to support learners, their families and our staff.
- Leadership of the College’s major restructure of fees in 2019, ensuring that high quality education is accessible to as many in our community as possible; and
Oversight of strong and historically high enrolment numbers across the College leading into 2022.
As we look to the future, the Board is clear that Andy is the right person to lead the College as it implements the SOC2035 strategic vision.
I take this opportunity, on behalf of the whole College community, to acknowledge and thank Andy on his achievements to date and unwavering commitment to the College, and we look forward to his continued contribution and leadership in the years to come. We congratulate Andy on this announcement and offer him support as our Principal.
