It has been a vibrant time at Elphin, with students and staff coming together to celebrate events that showcase belonging, imagination, and talent.

On Wear it Purple Day, our community proudly came together to celebrate belonging and inclusion. This was a reminder that every student is valued, respected, and supported to be themselves.

We also celebrated the magic of stories during Book Week Dress-Up Day. Students arrived dressed as their favourite characters, filling our classrooms and playground with colour and creativity. This special day highlighted the joy of reading and the power of storytelling […]

Year 12 Students Explore Monetary Policy with the RBA at UTAS

Economic theory was brought to life in a dynamic excursion for the College’s Year 12 Economics students when they visited the University of Tasmania (UTAS) to hear directly from the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) about the intricacies of monetary policy.

Joel Fernando from the RBA delivered an exceptional presentation, unpacking the real-world implications of rising interest rates and explaining why they are often described as a “blunt instrument” in economic management. The economist’s insights sparked thoughtful discussion among students, who were eager […]

Swimming

It was a fantastic day in the pool! Our swimming team enjoyed a great day at the NSATIS Swimming Carnival, taking home seven of the nine available Shields; the Co-ed Junior Shield, Co-ed Senior Shield, Co-ed Aggregate Shield, Boys Senior Shield, Boys Aggregate Shield, Girls Aggregate Shield and Girls Junior Shield. They also took out the Pennants in Boys Under 14, Under 15, Under 16 and Open age groups and Girls Under 13 and Under 14 age groups. Great individual efforts and team collaboration.

Strengthening our College through clarity,
connection and care

Schools, like many organisations, are highly dynamic and complex environments. that share the key challenge of planning for the future while remaining fully engaged in the present. As we plan for the 2026 school year, we are excited to share a significant development in our College’s leadership structure, one that reflects our commitment to clarity, efficiency, and most importantly, student support.

In a move towards a flatter and more agile organisational model, the traditional role of Deputy Principal will be replaced by three newly established campus leadership […]

Our students are learning to ask big questions, solve real-world problems, test ideas, and explore how the world works – all while having fun experimenting, building, measuring, and making.

Year 4s Join Year 9s for a Financial Adventure

Financial literacy came to life in the most exciting way last Thursday, as Year 4 Jones came to visit from the Junior School for a hands-on lesson with the Year 9 Enterprise students. The session wasn’t just about numbers—it was about curiosity, collaboration, and connecting across campuses.

The Year 4 students were challenged to calculate the real cost of explorers in 1788, using modern currency conversions and inflation data. It was a creative and meaningful way to explore economic concepts, and the Year 9 students […]
